Conclusion

In this the final sermon on the letter, Dyfed looks at Paul's concluding remarks and draws attention to the importance of prayer, fellowship and love in our lives.

In looking at Ephesians 6:1-20 Dyfed opens a mini series on spiritual warfare. Here he urges the church to recognise that the spiritual real does exist and that we experience resistance from it.

Forgiveness

Before looking at spiritual warfare in Ephesians 6, Dyfed tackles the issue of forgiveness, asking why we should forgive and how.

Slaves and Masters

In the final section of the household codes from Ephesians 6, Dyfed talks about how we can learn about our reaction to today's ungodly culture from Paul's treatment on the issue of slavery.

In the last of this mini series on husband-wife relationships, Dyfed looks  at how a marriage is a mirror to the soul.

Kingdom marriage - 3

Dyfed teaches on the love of a husband from Ephesians 5. He notes that Paul defines this love as being sacrificial and ends the sermon with a challenge to all husbands to get in touch with theri emotions.

Continuing in the 5th chapter of Ephesians, Dyfed begin the first of four sermons on marriage. In this sermon he places the passage in its context.

Godly living in the world

In this sermon from Chapter 5, Dyfed focuses on the value of being subject to one another as a key value that will help us live like Jesus in the world. He asks what power do each of have and how we use it.

In sermon 12 of the series Dyfed teaches on the need for our mind to be renewed.

Maturing in all ways

Dyfed tackles the issue of the need for growing up in all things to be like Jesus in this the 11th sermon in the series. Ephesians 4:7-16.

Maintaining unity: confront or avoid?

In the tenth of the series Dyfed reflects on Ephesians 4:1-6 and the need to maintain the unity of the church.  Paul lists those things necessary (gentleness, tolerance etc) to confront issues that threaten unity. But are you a confronter or an avoider?

Paul's prayer for the soul

In the ninth sermon of the series Dyfed looks at the second part of chapter 3 and at Paul's prayer for the Ephesian Christians. His desire is that they get strengthened in their inner being and that they come to have full understanding of God's love.

Paul gets sidetracked

In sermon 8 of the series, Dyfed looks at chapter 3 and discovers that paul, like so many of us, can loose his focus during prayer and can get sidetracked. In this sidetrack moment Paul explains in more detail the theology that got him arrested in Jerusalem.

 Carrying the presence in the Temple

In the seventh sermon in the series on Ephesians, Dyfed completes the third sermon on chapter 2. In it he explains how we are being built into a spiritual temple so that we can  carry the presence of God on the earth.

Building the temple

In the sixth sermon on Ephesians Dyfed preaches the second talk of three on the second chapter (confused? - wait till you here the sermon!). His focus is on the temple that we are all being built into - a dwelling place for God here on earth.

 A new life

In the fifth sermon in his series on Ephesians, Dyfed begins the first of three talks on the second chapter. He draws out Paul's reflection on the new life we now have in Christ, how that contrasts with our former life, and how the exchange has taken place.

A prayer for revelation

In the fourth part of the series Dyfed looks at Ephesians 1:15-23 and Paul's prayer for the Ephesian Christians that they would receive a revelation of God's power, inheritance, and hope in their lives.

In Him - not in others

The third part of the series looks at Ephesians 1:4-13 and Paul's emphasis on the fact that we have our spiritual blessings in Jesus alone. The sermon looks at how in today's culture we are encouraged to find our security and identity in other things.

Giving our all

Helen teaches on the story of the widow's giving to the Temple treasury, and asks, 'Will we be a chicken or a pig for Jesus?' She highlights the need to give all control over our own lives to God.

Helen explores the issue of pleasing people and pleasing God by looking at Galatians 6. In an aside from the podcast she asks the congregation to write a verse on a piece of paper and asks people whether they have any concerns about their handwriting.

Reforming church

In a break from the Ephesian series, Dyfed touches on an aspect of reform that is beginning to sweep the werstern church.  Noting that Jesus chose not to stay overnight in Jerusalem during holy week, but rather visited during the day, Dyfed asks is Jesus dwelling in his church today, or only visiting?

Resurrection

For Easter Sunday, Dyfed preaches on the resurrection of Jesus. God could have taken Jesus straight from the grave to heaven, but instead he chose to resurrect him physically. Why was that?
